The city of Turku and especially the Port area are developing, and this also affects the Paavo Nurmi Marathon routes. Ruissalo Island is an important part of the Paavo Nurmi Marathon half marathon and marathon routes. The 2026 running routes in Ruissalo will follow a route that has not been run before in the history of the Paavo Nurmi Marathon. The new section runs through the Little Santa Claus Promenade, which is surrounded by the sea on one side and romantic lace villas on the other. Welcome to the run.

The Paavo Nurmi Marathon event area is divided into three different points.
On the map, number 3. The Race Office is located at Intersport Hansa.
On the map, number 7. is the RUNNERS AREA, which includes, among other things, changing rooms, showers, equipment storage and finish product distribution. There is also a CAFE run by Puolala School students in the area, which sells, among other things, coffee, buns, sausages, etc. on Saturday between 9:30 and 16:00.
Map numbers 1 and 2, i.e. the start-finish area, are the EVENT AREA, which is located at Turku Market Square. There are presentation points for the event’s partners on the square on both days and the market square is open normally.
